<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a high opening rate and display quality by providing one substrate of the liquid crystal display device with pixel electrodes and light shielding films. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device is constituted by holding liquid crystals between a pair of the substrates 14 and forming the plural pixel electrodes 22, active elements 24 and bus lines 26, 28 connected to these active elements 24 on the one substrate 14 of a pair of the substrates 14. Further, the light shielding films 44 separated by pixel each are further formed on the one substrate by covering the entire region of the respective active elements and the greater part or the whole of the peripheral parts of the respective pixel electrodes.</p> |
