PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a leakage amount of light beam irradiated outside through slits from the base of a wedge base bulb. SOLUTION: The bulb socket 30 includes a pair of holding fittings 50, each of the holding fittings 50 has a holding portion 56 for elastically holding a base 23 of a wedge base bulb. Since a pair of slits 46, 47 are formed inwardly from an opening, an angular tube 36 includes arms 49 for elastically holding the holding portion 56 between the slits 46, 47. Since the slits 46, 47 are disposed at a position to be easily entered into a shadow against light beam irradiated from the base, a leak amount of the light beam irradiated outside through slits 46, 47 from the base 23 can be reduced.
