Expansion vessel especially for sanitary water installations

An expansion vessel, especially for sanitary water installations, comprises two hermetically joined half shell sections, a membrane inside the hollow member which is attached to the inner wall, and two variable volume chambers. Air is fed into one of the chambers and the water supply is connected to the second chamber. A pipe with radial holes is located in the hollow member, and ensures a high degree of turbulence in the expansion vessel. The membrane preferably consists of a butyl based rubber.
