<p>A radiant heating system (30) is provided which includes a tube (34) for radiating heat, and which has a vacuum pump (40) which is coupled to an upstream end thereof, for establishing negative pressure therein. A plurality of burner assemblies (32) is mounted in series along a length of the tube, for igniting a combustible gas mixture which is within the tube (34). A metering element (90) is provided for controlling the firing rate of the burner assemblies (32) under various negative pressure conditions.</p> |
