A device for cutting grass around low, ground level or buried objects comprises a rotary cutter which is positionable over such an object (10). The rotary cutter has cutter elements (24) adapted, when the cutter is positioned over such an object (10) and rotated at high speed, to perform a circular cutting of grass (G) around the object.
