<p>The contact assembly (1) consists of a plurality of right angle coaxial contact members (4) and a shell consisting of three shell members (40, 50, 60). The shell members have channels (68, 58) to receive preinsulated contact tails (18) and openings (57, 62) through which the tails (18) pass. Near the mating end of each channel, annular grooves (42, 54) cooperate with grooves (31) of the contact members (4) to secure the contact members (4) in the shell members (40, 50, 60). Compliant sections (16) secure each of the contact members (4) to a printed circuit board.</p> |
