PRODUCTION OF RESIN SHEET FROM PHOTOCURING RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a resin sheet by pouring a photocuring resin into a mold having a flat cavity coated with a vapor-deposited metal or metal compound layer and irradiating the resin with active energy radiation to cure it so that the resin sheet can be easily removed from the mold while protecting the sheet from breakage. SOLUTION: A resin sheet is produced by pouring a photocuring resin into a mold having a flat cavity at least an irradiated surface of which is made of a material permeable to active energy radiation and then irradiating the resin with the active energy radiation through the irradiated surface to cure the photocuring resin. The mold used has an easily peelable vapor-deposited layer made of a substance selected from among metals and metal compounds on the cavity surface thereof. The thickness of the sheet thus produced is pref. 0.1 to 3mm. The resin sheet is preferably removed from the mold before the temp. of the mold has been lowered to at least 30 deg.C lower than the max. temp. of the resin in the curing step.
