The electric drive, as in an earlier patent, has at least one component made of a soft magnetic material, in which at least one non-magnetic slit (631) is provided. The component may be provided by a soft magnetic rod (31) of iron or steel, provided along its length with alternating projections (37) and recesses (35), through which at least one slit extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rod.
