The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a composite yarn made of glass and organic material. According to the invention, continuous filaments of thermoplastic organic material are mingled, in the form of a ribbon, with a bundle or ribbon of glass filaments, with a speed (rate) of the thermoplastic filaments, during their penetration into the bundle or ribbon of glass filaments, greater than the rate of stretching (drawing) of the glass filaments. The invention also provides devices for the implementation of the method.
