A one-piece flexible-plastic fluid container (130) comprising a bottom (135) and sidewalls (132, 133) that are unitary with the bottom (135). Each sidewall (132, 133) includes edge margins disposed transverse to the bottom (135) and an end margin located in distal relation to the bottom (135). The edge margins of one sidewall(132), when joined to the edge margins of the other sidewall (133), define a pair of spaced-apart fluid-tight sideseams (136, 138). Each sideseam (136, 138) has a respective end portion (140, 142) that is opposite the bottom (135). A portion of each sidewall end margin (144, 146) when joined to the respective remainder portion (145, 147)thereof and the sideseam end portions (140, 142) opposite the bottom (135) when joined together collectively define a fluid-tight endseam (150). The pouch (130) further comprises a sleeve (137) which is unitary with the bottom (135) and the sidewalls (132, 133) and which circumscribes the bottom (135). The container is stiff enough to stand upright on a horizontal surface. |
