A mobile communication device, such as a PHS terminal, etc., having a function which emits sounds through a loudspeaker by superposing an alarming sound upon the sounds of received signals when the field intensity of received radio waves is lower than a prescribed value. The communication device is provided with an alarming sound generating circuit which generates alarming sound data, a detecting means which detects the intensity of received radio waves, and a changing means which changes the volume of the alarming sound in accordance with the intensity of received radio waves. Therefore, the direction in which the intensity of received radio waves becomes stronger is known. |
