Stroke extender for IC-engine

The stroke bore extender has a metal plate inserted between the cylinder and head of the engine to raise the effective height of the cylinder block, by a definite amount. The extender can include extended cylinder liners (1) which fit into the existing block bores to allow a continuous running surface for the pistons. The extender plate (2) can be screwed onto the existing block (3). A fluid seal can be formed between the plate and the top of the block.
