PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make up a deficiency of a difference of luminance of a pixel positioned in a left upward part of a display screen and to eliminate unevenness of luminance of this part so as to improve picture quality by adding an error data of a pixel of the last display line of the previous frame of the display image to an error data of a pixel of the 1st display line of the present frame. SOLUTION: An error diffusion ending pulse is generated when an error of the last pixel of the last line of the previous frame is calculated out. When the error diffusion ending pulse is changed from an 'H' level to an 'L' level, an output of an adder 23 is set in a latch circuit 31. Consequently, the error of the last pixel of the previous frame can be given as an error of a left adjacent pixel B to the leading pixel of the 1st display line of the present frame. Moreover, the error diffusion ending pulse is also generated when an error of the last image of each display line of the present frame is calculated out. Upon calculation of the last error of each display line, the error diffusion ending pulse is changed from the 'H' level to the 'L' level, and the output of the adder 23 is set in the latch circuit 31. |
