<p>PURPOSE: To improve the tracking performance for tracking a highly maneuvering target and also prevent the generation of irradiation time for unnecessary tracking beam. CONSTITUTION: This radar system is provided with a phased array antenna 1 and further is provided with a tracking control part 6 that sets the irradiation interval of tracking beam necessary for continuously tracking a target on the basis of the measurement information including the location, speed and acceralation of the target to be tracked. Furthermore, it is equipped with a beam scanning scheduler 7 that allows the irradiation timing for tracking beam to interrupt the irradiation timing for search beam for scanning all covering areas successively so that the tracking beam may be applied at the interval set by the control part 6 and sets the irradiation order of the search beam and tracking beam, and an antenna control part 8 to control the antenna 1 in such a way that the beam is applied in the preset beam irradiation order.</p> |
