PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer film having good heat transfer properties and release properties between a transfer medium and an image to be printed which can transfer the image sharply on a body to be transferred and provide the good durability of the image and the good resistance to blocking. SOLUTION: A heat transfer film 10 for heat transferring an image formed by printing ink 20 on a printing face 16A onto a body to be transferred is formed by laminating a heat transfer printing layer 16 through a buffer layer 14 provided with the bonding strength 60g/inch or less and so formed as to be released easily on one face of a heat-resistant film base 12, and a printing face 16a of the heat transfer printing layer 16 is roughened. The buffer layer 14 can be laminated on the film base 12 through a release layer 18, and it is preferable that the buffer layer 14 is composed of resin of melting temperature of 80-130 deg.C, and that the heat transfer printing layer is composed of a heat adhesive resin selected from an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and an ionomer resin. |
