A skate with in-line rollers (6), consisting of a frame (5) with an upper plate (4) on which a boot (2) may be mounted, and comprising a lower longitudinal portion to which the rollers (6) are attached. At least one of the central rollers (6A, 6B, 6C, 6D) is arranged on a separate holder (11, 11A, 11B) connected to the frame (5) via releasable attachment means (13, 15), and means are provided for adjusting the height of the ground-contact plane of said roller (6A, 6B, 6C, 6D) relative to the contact plane (P) between the end rollers (6) and the ground (S), in order to form an intermediate ground-contact area at a variable height above the ground.
