<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large space for the removal of jammed paper without increasing the size of an image forming device and, further, to facilitate jam removal by providing a transfer device holder with a first hold member pivotally attached to the main body of the device at its base end so as to be turnable, and a second hold member pivotally attached to the free end of the first hold member so as to be turnable. SOLUTION: The holder holds a transfer device so that the transfer device composed of a transfer roller 11 can move between an operating position opposite the surface of an image carrier composed of a photoreceptor 5 and a retracting position longer distance apart from the surface of the image carrier in comparison with the case where it is in the operating position. This holder has the first hold member 26 pivotally attached to the main body of the image forming device at its base end so as to be turnable and the second hold member 27 pivotally attached to the free end of the first hold member 26 so as to be turnable. Therefore, when the transfer device composed of the transfer roller 11 is brought into the retracting position, the large space S for the removal of jammed paper can be obtained between the photoreceptor 5 and transfer roller 11.</p> |
