摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for thermal welding, capable of heating and cooling in a short time, free from melting in the part other than a bonded and fixed position, and excellent in workability, by regulating the value of (specific resistivity)×(heat capacity) of metallic films so that it is lower than that of a metallic base material and also constituting the metallic base material and the metallic films of magnetic body and nonmagnetic body, respectively. SOLUTION: This base material 2 for thermal welding has a metallic base material 10 for thermal welding, metallic films 11, 12 (nonmagnetic body is preferable) formed on the surface of the metallic base material 10 and having specific resistivity lower than that of the metallic base material 10 (magnetic body is preferably) and thickness smaller than that of the metallic base material 10, and a thermally welding resin layer 13 joined to the surface of the metallic films 11, 12 [in which the value of (specific resistivity)×(heat capacity) of the metallic films is regulated so that it is one-fifth the value of (specific resistivity))×(heat capacity) of the metallic base material or less].
