<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a volume reduction, a decrease in weight, deodorization and discharge of wet refuse by a method wherein, during the drying treatment of wet refuse in one of two drying chambers having a stirring means, the wet refuse is not transferred to the other chamber and, after finishing the drying treatment, the dried refuse is transferred to the other chamber to be discharged. SOLUTION: A wet refuse treating apparatus 1 has a first drying chamber 8 provided with a stirring unit 7 and a second drying chamber 12 connected to the first drying chamber 8 and provided with a stirring/discharging means 11. When a rotary shaft 6 is rotated in anα-direction in the first drying chamber 8, wet refuse is stirred and crushed by stirring bars 5 to be dried, but is not transferred to the second drying chamber 12 due to the action of the stirring/discharging means 11. When the rotary shaft 6 is reversely rotated after finishing the drying treatment in the first drying chamber 8, the dried refuse is transferred to the second drying chamber 12 by the stirring bars 5 while being stirred. The dried refuse is transferred, while being stirred, within the second drying chamber 12 by the stirring/ discharging means 11 and is discharged through a discharge port 10. Thus, the wet refuse is automatically subjected to drying treatment without dirtying hands, and dried refuse can be efficiently and automatically discharged outside the treating apparatus.</p> |
