<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly read out an optical pattern at high resolution by an optical pattern reader using a line image sensor without requiring preparation time even when the pattern is a two-dimensional pattern, to easily design an optical system, to simplify the reader itself, and to reduce the price of the reader. SOLUTION: In the optical pattern reader, a movable reflection mirror 7, a movable and converging optical system 9 and a movable line image sensor 10 are successively stored in a movable unit case 31. An optical unit rotating shaft 33 is fixed so as to be horizontally projected from both the side wall parts of the case 31 correspondingly to the centroid position of the whole system. An optical unit U is periodically oscillated around the shaft 33 and periodical or intermittent electronic scanning is horizontally executed by the sensor 10.</p> |
