The arrangement includes a magnetic field sensitive sensor with an increased magneto-resistive effect, and a magnetic field component generator. The sensor and the magnetic field generator are arranged so that so that a normal is arranged in the sensor parallel to the rotary axis. The angular position of the control lever correlated with the magnetic field components can be rotated. The magnetic field generating element is a rod-shaped permanent magnet. The magnetic field sensitive sensor is fixed so that it rotates together with the rotating axis while the magnetic field generating element does not rotate with the rotating axis.
