The method involves passing the film (13) between the projector (12) and the screen in a continuous and regular movement. The light beam (21) from the projector is deviated by an optical device which accompanies the movement of the image. The speed of the film's movement is adjustable as a function of the projected film sequences. The optical device placed between the projector and the film can be rotary, reflective or refractive, e.g. in the form of a plate with parallel faces or a drum (25) with reflective surfaces, e.g. mirrors forming a regular convex polygonal surface.
