The laces are held by a thick disc made of elastic material, such as rubber. This has a circular groove (4) inside in which a lace is held. A small channel (7) joins the groove to a hole (1) on the lower surface of the disc through which the lace is introduced. The upper and lower parts of the disc (a,b) are separated so that the end of the lace can be pulled out. The lateral walls (5,6) have chamfered hollows (9,10) which put the lace automatically into the groove when it is rolled round the disc.
