PURPOSE:To make this apparatus small-sized and to stabilize an oscillation wavelength by a method wherein a light-absorbing gas is sealed inside a core or near the core and an optical fiber having a sharp light-absorbing beam with reference to a specific wavelength of 0.3 to 2.5mum is combined with a semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION:A radiated beam 16 of a semiconductor laser 11 is incident from one end of a light-absorbing fiber 12 and is passed through a core 21 of the light-absorbing fiber 12. During this passage the beam is made to interact with a light-absorbing gas sealed in a hollow part 23 and a beam of a specific wavelength is absorbed. Then, a radiated beam 17 is detected by using a photodetector 13 and is transmitted to a feedback circuit 14 as an electric signal. Lastly, the beam is introduced into an electric-current terminal 15 for driving use of the semiconductor laser 11; an oscillation wavelength is stabilized after it has been tunes to one specific beam of the light-absorbing beam of the sealed gas in the hollow part 23.
