PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render flow-passage resistance as small as possible by forming a flow passage having its part inclined relative to the horizontal direction in way of an ink supply passage being coupled to an ink cartridge in one end and to a recording head in the other end, and setting a filter plate in a manner aslant crossing over the flow passage. SOLUTION: Between the lower end of an ink supply needle 16 and a through orifice 14 being communicated to an ink jet type recording head, a filter chamber 33 is formed having a second filter plate 32. The filter plate 32 is composed of nonwoven fabric to be a filter having a low loss of dynamical pressure in a period of supplying ink to the recording head and meniscus strength being as high as possible, i.e., having a reduced mesh size, besides, a thin wall thickness enabling flow passage resistance as small as possible, and having a high rate of vacancy. Also, the filter plate 32 is provided crossing over the filter chamber slantwise. In this structure, the filter plate 32 is ensured to have an adequately wide opening area, and this fluid resistance by the filter plate 32 is restrained as small as possible, thereby keeping a loss of head water low. |
