The device is designed to control circuit components in inverter bridge branches. To this end there is a control circuit, the control signal (S1, S2) of which are taken to the components of the bridge branches. The voltage at the complementary component (T1, T2) of the bridge branch concerned is compared by a comparator (K1, K2) with the threshold voltage (Us). If the value is below the threshold, a logic "0" signal is generated and if the threshold is exceeded, a logic "1" signal is generated. Linking is via square pulses with a duty cycle of preferably 50 % via a logic AND link (3, 4). The output signal (S1", S2") of the AND link (3, 4) is used to control the other component (T1, T2). The input signal of the comparator (K1, K2) is generated in a capacitor (Ck) by the integration of a displacement current (Iv). The arrangement is such that the displacement current (Iv) is generated by voltage changes at the complementary component (T1, T2).
