Adhesive packaging tape dispenser for simultaneously sealing top and bottom sides of package

The dispenser has two positioning plates (2) forming the dispenser side walls. Arms (22,23) for supporting the front and rear tape press wheels (24,25) are secured between the two plates and joined to each other by a connector piece that enables the two wheel supports to move relative to each other. The arms are pressed against a strong spring. A tape cutter blade (261) is held between bracket arms (26). The actual roll (4) of tape is held between the plates on a holder (42). Two tape holder plates (31) are secured to the front press wheel support arms underneath the wheel, extending inwards from the support arms and at an angle towards the front of the front wheel support arms. A first guide roll (27) guides the tape upwards, whilst a second guide roll (29) with a chequered surface relief is located beneath the holder plates at the front press wheel support arms. The tape leaves the roll and is non-sticky surface is guided upwards over the first guide roll, then its sticky surface is guided over the second guide roll and upwards through the space between the holder plates, and then the tape runs at a tangent to the front press wheel. A fourth guide roll (32) is positioned between the holder plates and the second guide roll. The end (321) of the fourth guide roll shaft can move inside a hole (221) locates in one of the front press wheel support arms. When the end of the shaft lies in the top of the hole, the section of tape runs at a tangent to the holder plates between the front edge of the outside of the fourth guide roll and the fourth (sic) press roll, so that the tape is not in contact with the holder plates. When the dispenser is not being used the end of the shaft rests in the bottom of the hole, so that the weight of the fourth guide roll is pressed against the tape, forcing the tape to stand upwards and not drop off the dispenser.
