Throttle valve support for internal combustion engine

The support (1) is for a plastics throttle valve. When closed, this valve (5) lies against the axial stop surface (6,7) of the an inlet valve port's (3) choke either side of its axis (4). The valve's own stop surface is made to match the axial stop surfaces at a certain closing strength via supplying energy to and loading it. The energy may by supplied through heat or ultrasound, and causes the valve to plastically deform.
