Transmission arrangement for motorcycles

The device has a planetary gear transmission with fixed ratios, and a V-belt transmission for continuous adjustment of the speed ratios. The V-belt transmission has two shafts, at least two V-belt pulleys on each shaft, and a belt passing over the pulleys. The planetary gear transmission is positioned on the two shafts, which are connected via chain. Engine output is transmitted from the input shaft via the planetary transmission to the drive shaft, when the motorcycle is started or travels at low speeds. The output is transmitted to the drive shaft via both transmissions, when the motorcycle travels at medium or high speeds.
