摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a horizontal light path from a light source to a rising mirror by a method wherein a collimator lens is provided between the rising mirror and an object lens. SOLUTION: A collimator lens 25 is, a convex lens and converts a light beam reflected by a rising mirror 24 into a parallel light. For this purpose, the collimator lens 25 is provided in a light path which is bent by the rising mirror 24, i.e., in a light path perpendicular to the signal recording surface of an optical disc. With this constitution, the distance between a beam splitter 23 and the rising mirror 24 and the light path length from a semiconductor laser device 21 which is a light source to the rising mirror 24 can be selected to be shorter, so that the sizes of a double-axis actuator 30, an optical pickup 20, an optical disc apparatus 10, etc., can be reduced. Further, as the collimator lens 25 is provided between an object lens 26 and the rising mirror 24, a support shaft 32 is relatively long and hence a lens holder 32 can be held stably.
