SYSTEM FOR SCANNING IMAGE INCLUDED ON FILM BAND AND METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To scan automatically a negative film included in a continuous film roll by providing a drive mechanism advancing a film band from a cartridge onto a platen and a means scanning the film band and digitizing obtained information. SOLUTION: An automatic film carrying adaptor has a film feed housing 24 provided with a chamber 26 designed to old a photo film band after development, and also a carrying mechanism with a guide 34 leading the film band 28 onto the platen. The carrying mechanism is provided with a drive mechanism to advance the film from the cartridge to the platen for scanning. Then a scanner scans the film band 28 to digitize information included therein.
