The oyster knife comprises a cylindrical part (3) which is terminated at its end by a threaded cone. This cone is used to make a hole in the joint of the oyster's two valves. Then the blade (1), one of whose ends is curved, is then introduced into this hole and rotated inside the oyster to cut its muscle. At the non-conical end of the knife is a handle (2).
