PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a caller by changing the tone of a ringer sound based on the telephone number of the caller. SOLUTION: This telephone set is provided with a transmission/reception part 2 for receiving the telephone number of the caller, SIM 3 for registering telephone numbers, RAM 34 storing sound numbers, ROM 4 storing sound numbers and tone data, CPU 5 and speaker 6. At the time of call incoming, a telephone number TN of the caller is extracted by a telephone number extracting part 51 in the CPU 5, and the telephone number TN is compared with a telephone number read out of the SIM 3 by a comparing part 53. When these telephone numbers are coincident, a selecting part 54 selects tone data corresponding to the sound number of that telephone number out of the ROM 4 and outputs these data to the speaker 6. Thus, the ringer sound of tone specifying the caller is rung from the speaker 6. Besides, when the telephone number TN is not coincident with the telephone number read out of the SIM 3, a usual ringer sound is rung from the speaker 6. |
