METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING ID DATA FOR SERVO CONTROL AND DISK PLAYER USING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust by a microprocessor the transmission rate for ID data obtained from a digital video disk. SOLUTION: ID data are decoded by an ID decoder 10 from signals recorded in an optical disk. If the decoded ID data are output at a constant transmission rate, a microprocessor 20 receiving the ID data to use for servo control compares and obtains the difference of the transmission rate of ID data and the processing rate of ID data used for servo control, and adjusts the transmission rate of the ID data of the ID decoder 10 based on the comparison result. Accordingly, the programming timing can be efficiently managed at the microprocessor 20.
