PURPOSE:To decrease the bridge generating frequency and to improve the picture quality by obtaining a synthetic fingerprint picture where the fingerprint picture obtained at the initial stamping stage is defined as a center part with the subsequent fingerprint picture defined as the peripheral parts respectively. CONSTITUTION:A 1st memory part M1 stores the fingerprint images read at the initial stamping stage, and a 2nd memory parts M stores the fingerprint images read in the periods following the initial stamping stage. These fingerprint images stored in both parts M1 and Mn are synthesized and outputted. The pictures obtained at the initial stamping stage, i.e., for a period when the proper pressing force is applied to the center part of a fingerprint are stored in the part M1. Then the pictures stored in the part M1 are synthesized with the pictures stored in the part M2. Thus the bridge generating frequency is extremely decreased and the picture quality is improved since the proper pressing force is applied to the center part of the synthetic picture. |
