PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-grade recording by performing recording over predetermined recording width at the boundary part of a recording region containing a predetermined hue and a recording region composed of a hue different from the predetermined hue by using ink high in permeability and performing recording at the remaining part by using ink low in permeability. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording apparatus roughly consists of a frame 41, a carrier 42, a stage shaft 43, a paper feed roller 44, a head part 45, a backup unit 46, a motor 47 and a belt 48. The carrier 42 is driven by the motor 47 through the belt 48 and guided by the stage shaft 43 to be moved in an X-direction. The head part 45 is attached to the carrier 42. A recording medium 50 such as paper is sent by the paper feed roller 44 and, for example, the head part 45 records an image on the recording medium 50 on the basis of the image data received from a host device. |
