PURPOSE:To improve the operability of the title device by automatically controlling not only the reduction and enlargement, but also the rotation and displaying extent of picture information in accordance with a reducing/enlarging ratio, rotating angle, and display control information of the displaying extent corresponding to the size information or size information and resolution information of the picture. CONSTITUTION:When picture information and size information or picture information, size information, and resolution information are inputted to an input section 1, the display control information corresponding to the size information or the size information and resolution information is read out from a storing section 2 by means of a readout section 3. A picture processing section 4 performs an enlarging or reducing and rotating processes to the inputted picture information in accordance with the display control information and the part of the displaying extent of the processed picture information is outputted and displayed on the screen of a display section 5. Thus the input picture information is automatically controlled not only for the enlarging/reducing ratio, but also for the rotating angle and displaying extent in accordance with the display control information previously designated depending upon the size or size and resolution of the input picture information. Therefore, the operability of this picture displaying device is sharply improved. |
