A deflection yoke which changes a horizontal deflection magnetic field in order to compensate for a special convergence is disclosed. In the yoke, a coil separator(3) forms an outer structure of a deflection yoke. A horizontal deflection coil(5) generates a horizontal deflection magnetic field to thereby deflect an electronic beam in a horizontal direction. A vertical deflection coil(7) generates a vertical deflection magnetic field to thereby deflect the electronic beam in a vertical direction. A pair of ferrite cores(10,11) are mounted at an outer portion of vertical deflection coil(7) and strengthens the magnetic field from vertical deflection coil(7). A core clamp fixes the pair of ferrite cores(10,11). A projecting groove is formed at a left or right side of a neck side of coil separator(3). The horizontal deflection coil(5) winds the projecting groove. The winding shape has a special form.
