PURPOSE:To provide the subject new compound useful as an antimycotic agent. CONSTITUTION:(+)-2-(2,4-Difluorophenyl)-1-[3-[(E)-4-(2,2,3,3-tetrafluo ropropoxy) styryl]-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl]-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-ol of formula I (* represents optically active atom). The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting (-)-2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-2,3-epoxypropanol of formula II with 1,2,4- triazole in the presence of a base, activating the primary hydroxyl group with methanesulfonyl chloride, epoxidizing under basic condition and reacting with 3-[(E)-4-(2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropoxy)styryl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole of formula III in the presence of a base. |
