PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prevent place locating means for easily locating a present place on a map. SOLUTION: A present place locating device has a map book where a map MP which is divided into a plurality of areas with individual representative coordinate is listed and a means for outputting a current location in the form of coordinates being related to the representative coordinates. Then, when a transmission-type liquid crystal panel 1 is installed in the specific area of the map MP in the map book, a current location G is specified at a location on the map where the representative coordinates of the area of the map book obtained through the transmission-type liquid crystal panel 1 matches the coordinates of the present place outputted in the form of coordinates.
