A pen-shaped electric heat sealer comprising a power supply unit, a tapered housing at one end to hold an electric heat seal unit, and a cap with a unitary clip for covering the tapered housing and clipping the heat sealer to a pocket is disclosed. The electric heat seal unit is electrically connected to the power supply unit to produce heat for sealing as it is pressed on a workpiece to be sealed. The electric heat seal unit is electrically disconnected from the power supply unit as pressure is removed from the tip of the heat sealing unit when the heat sealer is lifted away from the workpiece. |
