PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a fixing and reduce the manufacturing cost in metal fittings for fixing a modular jack having inserting grooves on both side parts by inserting and connecting the modular jack by a plate metal part SOLUTION: To fix a modular jack 1 to a metal fitting body 6, the inserting groove 5 of the modular jack 1 is fitted to the recessed part 8 of the fitting body 6, and both inserting pieces 14 of a positioning fitting 7 are inserted. Each inserting piece 14 is inserted into a base 9 while it is elastically contracted inward by the protruding portion of a locking projection 16, and the locking projection 16 is elastically engaged with a lock groove 12 in the positioning completed state to longitudinally position the modular jack 1 on the base 9 of the fitting body 6. Since the fitting is a plate metal worked product, the cost of connecting part can be reduced, and the positioning and fixing of the modular jack can be precisely and surely performed.
