A security device for authenticating and tamper-proofing a container and the objects therein is disclosed. The device includes a set of adhesive labels (8<u>a</u>, 8<u>b</u>, 8<u>c</u>) with an adhesion surface coated with a strong adhesive so that each label cannot be peeled off an object (10) without at least partially tearing the object surface or the label, and a visible surface bearing an identification marking that is unique to one set of labels and identical for all the labels in the set, as well as an authenticating marking that is invisible to the naked eye and may be made visible by means of a special treatment. One of the labels is adhered to the container (1) while each of the remaining labels is adhered to one of the objects (10) contained therein.
