PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a desired image working processing by binarizing input multilevel images and controlling the thickness or density of characters/line drawing in multilevel images by using the binary images. SOLUTION: Original images are read, binarized density signals are stored in a binarization storage circuit 106 and the density signals from which noise components are eliminated are stored in a storage part 113. Also, an image recovery processing part 107 obtains the multilevel image data of the original images from which noise is eliminated by reading the multilevel image data corresponding to the 1 of the binary images stored in the storage part 113 and storing them in an image memory 108. Character thinning/character thickening processings are executed to the binarized density signals as needed and the density signals are stored in the storage part 115. After a working processing is executed to the images in such a manner, a copy key is pressed and the printing output of the desired images is obtained. |
