FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of linear velocity of movement of bodies travelling in space: outer, air, water, branches of science and industry where determination of linear velocity is required. SUBSTANCE: method consists in formation of standing electromagnetic wave by two packets of coherent electromagnetic waves polarized in one plane and directed in opposition along one straight line while body moves along standing wave. Then maximum intensity of crest of formed standing wave is measured and time on which expiration some intensity of standing wave is achieved is also measured. Some sought-for velocity is determined by obtained intensities, time and wave length. EFFECT: determination of linear velocity of travel of bodies with reference to standing electromagnetic wave with travels less than quarter length of electromagnetic wave. |
