Cordless telephone combined base station and charging station

The combined base station (2) and charging station (3) has a mechanical coupling (10,11,14,17) for securing the charging station to the base station. This allows charging of the electric storage battery within the cordless telephone from the electrical supply network which is connected to the base station. The mechanical coupling is provided by a snap-action mechanism situated in the upper surface (8) of the base station and the underside of the charging station.
