Injection moulding tool for LED manufacture

The injection moulding tool has a hollow mould (21) with a spray opening (22) for injection of plastics and a suction opening (24) for extraction of air from the mould space. The spray opening lies within the surrounding suction opening. The LED has a leadframe supporting the LED chip, with a pair of poles connected to respective lead wires and is positioned within the hollow mould so that the lead wires project, for embedding in a polycarbonate plastics.
