PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a wire holding part of a chuck and the tangle with an adjacent wire so as to facilitate the delivery to the next process by holding one end of a wire, of which the other end is held by a chuck on a conveyor, with a chuck at a position where the wire is not brought into contact with the floor surface. SOLUTION: One end of a wire 1, of which the other end is held by a chuck 5 on a conveyor 4, is held by a chuck 5 of a position, in which the wire 1 does not contact with the floor surface 19 under the chuck 5. Since the excessive force is not applied to the holding part of the chuck 5, deformation of the wire holding part of the chuck 5 is prevented, and the generation of tangle due to the interference with an adjacent wire 1 is prevented. In the conventional device for manufacturing wire harness, in the case where a cut wire 1 is a long-size wire, a loose part of the wire 1, which is held by the chuck 5 on the conveyor 4, is trailed on the floor surface 19 under the chuck 5 so as to generate the deformation of the wire holding part of the chuck 5 and the tangle with the adjacent wire 1, and the mechanical delivery to the next process is hard. |
