<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an accident even in clashing with a small mass object by providing an accident detecting means for detecting accidents by a sound in an accident condition recorder for recording and holding conditions before and after an accident when the accident is detected. SOLUTION: When a vehicle clashes with an object, acceleration is produced for a car body and when this acceleration exceeds a prescribed level, an acceleration detecting device 6 outputs a detecting signal. A large impact sound produced during this clashing is detected by a microphone 7a, its detecting signal is passed through a low-pass filter 7b and a signal containing only a component echoed in a body is extracted. After all the waves thereof are flow-rectified, the signal is compared with a prescribed value by a determination circuit 7c and a detecting signal is outputted. When the acceleration detecting device 6 and a sound signal processing part 1 simultaneously output signals, data equivalent to a prescribed time is stored together with video data by a photographing device 1 such as a CCD cameral in a recording part 4 via a recording controller 8.</p> |
