The apparatus includes a rigid casing (100) which has several peripheral units. These include a digital camera (400) and a screen (500) which are arranged for connection to the main casing for image capture and display. Within the casing, a fixed central unit (200) is attached to a fixed peripheral unit which prints out the captured images on paper. The central unit is remotely controlled by a mobile control unit (600), allowing adjustment of the various settings of the camera and video display system. The images can also be stored on a recording medium e.g. cassette.
